Taking Back Our Village is a program now under We Are Their Voices, which is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
The purpose of the Taking Back Our Village program is to promote community awareness in safety; the importance of knowing that law enforcement is in place to serve and protect; to prepare students for the academic year and to introduce the community to various support programs and services to assist in their academic and family success.
Our goals are tri-fold. First, to provide school supplies to students in the surrounding communities so they are prepared to begin a new school year. All children are welcome; not just those in the Lincolnville community. Second, we want our children to have positive interactions with law enforcement and adults. Lastly, TBOV wants to gauge the needs of the community through edutainment.

Taking Back Our Village Community Initiative Cops and Kids Back to School Bash is in its 8th year and held at the Town of Lincolnville. Local law enforcement agencies as well as a host of local business and service agencies are involved in this annual event.
